Key Immigration Rules

  • Overstaying is illegal: IDR 1,000,000 per day fine + potential deportation and re-entry ban.
  • Working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Remote working for a foreign employer is a legal grey area — consult an immigration expert.
  • All foreign nationals must register with local authorities within 24 hours of arrival at rented accommodation. Suaka's check-in process supports this.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date.
  • Always extend your visa before it expires — allow at least 5–7 business days.
